I believe in listening to my clients, to really determine their needs & reasons for buying or selling. As your Realtor, I always strive to provide you with the excellence you expect & the service you deserve. I believe in always going the extra mile for my clients, to provide them with all the information available on a desired property, so as to empower them to make the best possible decision on that investment. If my clients are sellers, I provide copies in their home & on line, of all the materials available on their home, so as to empower any agent showing their home, with the tools to sell their home. This includes , but is not limited to, copies of one year of utility bills, plat maps, the listing, finance option sheets, CC & R's, & Google Earth pictures. I strongly believe that every listing, no matter what price point, deserves to be PROFESSIONALLY PHOTOGRAPHED. Over 87% of the buyers look at listings, & their pictures &/or virtual tours, online before ever even contacting a Realtor. If your home isn't featured in the best possible light & manner, the buyers will delete your listing & never actually tour your home. Think about it. Many agents save money by taking the pictures themselves. You can always tell which listings they are. Great service means having a team of great professionals that you can depend on to make your buying or selling experience a great one. It can be a fun & a pleasant experience. I have been accused of being too protective of my clients, by other Realtors. I chose to accept that as a compliment, for I believe it is my job to be fiercely protective of my clients. I think that commitment to my clients, is the reason that my business is about 95% former clients & referrals. My attorney husband, has taught me to always see myself, “Standing in front of a judge.” That is great advice. To me there is only one way to conduct business, & that is to dot my “i's” & “Cross my “T's” & do everything the right way , everytime. So far in over 20 years as a Realtor, I have never had a problem or a complaint. My goal is to find my buyers exactly what they are both wanting & needing. I want that house to excite both of them. I aim to get it for them, at the best possible price, so that their investment will bring them the greatest return, when the time comes to sell it. My job is to not only point out the factors that will enable that financial return, but also to point out those factors that will prevent a good investment, & thus suggest we keep looking. I feel so strongly about this, that twice I have made buyers sign a paper that stated that I advised them NOT to buy a property!
I grew up in Spokane, Wa, & attended & graduated from the Univ. of Idaho in Elementary Educ. I was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, & still enjoy contact with my sorority sisters. I did my graduate studies through the Univ. of Idaho extension program, & took classes at BSU. I retained my teaching license for 30 years after graduation, & enjoyed many years of substitute teaching, before starting my real estate career in 1993. I taught school in Coeur d'Alene, Moscow, & Boise, Id. as well as Sacramento Ca, & Saipan, in the N. Mariana Islands, out by Guam. We have a daughter & a grandson, & son & a daughter in law, plus a step grandson the same age as our grandson. My husband & I moved here in 1967, when there were less than 50,000 in Boise! I spent many years doing philanthropic work with the Boise Junior League, The Boise Lawyer's Wives Auxillary, the Boise Philharmonic Auxillary, St. Luke's Hospital Auxillary. I was a Mt. View Elem. School Voluntee, & Board Member for 11 years, & spent many years fighting child abuse & sexual abuse, on a state level, but as a volunteer. I am most proud of the fact that the 4 of us, on my Jr. Lg. committee, lobbied the Idaho legislature, & got the law passed, making it illegal to abuse children. Up to that point, it was only illegal to abuse animals in Idaho! We also started the Guardian Ad Litem program in the courts, thus providing the innocent young victims with representation in their court proceedings. While living overseas, we were fortunate to travel through many parts of the world. I believe that seeing China in 1980, before it was westernized, was the most fascinating. Climbing The Great Wall was amazing & most difficult, as it is extremely steep. We have been passionate scuba divers since living in the Tropics. I have made over 3,000 open water ocean dives. My favorite diving is in Palua, in the Western Carolines, & my favorite wreck diving is in Truk, now called Chuk, in the Eastern Carolines, of the Pacific. Our diving on the sunken Japanese warships, was a life changing experience. I sat in the cockpit of a Japanese Zero, at 150' or more below the surface. The marine life completely covered the metal ships, after forty years in the ocean. It was spectacular. I practiced real estate for 16 years with Holland Realty, until they merged with Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group. In August of 2013, I joined Silvercreek Realty. I have been a Top Producer every year since 1994. I was chosen by REI Realtor Magazine in 2006, as one of the Top 50 Up & Coming Realtors in the US. This was a fantastic surprise, & a tremendous honor, as I was unknowingly nominated by Holland Realty. It is not unusual for me to have a million dollar listing, at the same time as a $70,000 listing, because of my referral business. I have sold commercial properties, rentals, doctor's & dentist's offices, vacant land, & farms & ranches, & done many build jobs, but the majority of my business is in residential listings & sales. I have worked many subdivisions & watched the Treasure Valley grow & prosper. I feel I know this area extremely well. I am always available to my clients, even if I am out of town. I carry my cell & my laptop, so that I can write offers or listings, or do any necessary work. I work every day, & evenings, too. My lenders that I enjoy working with follow the same schedule.
