Jan – Mark was introduced to me from a friend who had worked with him when she was looking for her first home. I was also a first-time home buyer and did not have any knowledge about how the process works. I also did not realize how quickly houses move in the current Boise market. Mark was fantastic from the start. He took time to really listen to what I was looking for (my price range, size of the house, commute time from work, condition of home, etc). To start with, he took me to look at houses in different neighborhoods in my price range so that I could get a feel of what I liked. He reviewed sample contracts/documents (MLS property details, RE-21, RE-25s, RE-10s) with me beforehand so that I would be familiar with the language when it came time to put in offers. I was really glad he prepared me since houses in my price range did not stay on the market for long. If I found a house that I liked, we often had to race over within a couple of hours to take a look and decide within a day how to put in a offer. I could always count on Mark to be able to promptly set up house tours for me. Since I was looking for a house on my own without a spouse or family, he was also great at bouncing ideas off of and just talking through how I felt about a house. I really felt like Mark was like a family member helping me find my ideal home. There were times he would bring up concerns or questions about a house that I didn’t even think of. I really felt like he had my best interest at heart. Mark also knows great contacts in this field including loan specialists, home inspectors, investment specialists, insurance agents, staging designers who are also wonderful to work with! I was able to purchase a great home within a month thanks to Mark, and if my friends ever need to buy or sell a home, I would provide his contact information in a heartbeat!
