Having been a REALTOR® in California and now for several years in Idaho, my knowledge of moving into or around the greater Boise area is extremely valuable to you as a Buyer or Seller. In an effort to continue my education, I’ve earned the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council ABR® accreditation. ABR® stands for Accredited Buyer Representative. To earn this designation, a REALTOR® must complete certain sales requirements and complete many hours of training. Finally, the REALTOR® must also complete the required testing with a qualifying passing score. What my ABR® accreditation means for you is that with the additional education along with utilizing industry best practices, we have a leg up on the competition with regards to negotiating! Working directly with builders is not in your best interest. Builders are all about keeping their cost down and profits up. Working with builders without your own REALTOR® advocate means that you have no one fighting for you specifically. Think about it – would you ever hire a competitor's attorney to represent you in a contractual dispute? Probably NOT!

Here are real life examples on how I have advocated for my clients: I've had several buyers agree on a price for a brand new build. After our due diligence was completed, we either got an additional price reduction and in some cases received property upgrades at no cost to my buyers. Please, before you speak with a builder directly, let's have a conversation so that we can identify what your wants and needs are and then I can register you with the builder. Having your own REALTOR® advocate like me is a way to PROTECT YOUR INTERESTS!

We relocated out of Idaho, in order to be close to family. We wanted the best realtor's out there, and interviewed several people. We decided on Maury Smith and Patti Kimbrell, who teamed it for us.

When they arrived for their first meeting with us, they were the only realtors that had already done their homework! Patti handed us a spiral bound book on our home, with pictures, property information, and many tabs etc.

Maury also handed us a spiral bound notebook of a market analysis, on our house, and a suggested list price range! We were quite impressed to say the least, and felt that the information was right on the money! Further, they gave their best advice as to what we needed to do in order to sell our house. They recommended staging the house and painting a couple rooms, etc. We questionably took their advice, being skeptics, but it paid off! We received three above asking price offers after a single weekend of open houses that they held for us!

During this process, Maury returned phone calls immediately, and he and Patti met contractors at the house, checked our mail, (as we had already vacated the house and relocated). In addition, Maury negotiated with the buyers and us, as to what needed repaired, and what did not. They both went beyond the call of duty to see this sale through, all the way to the end.

To summarize, Maury and Patti are knowledgeable, and seasoned realtors. I highly recommend either or both of them, for their wisdom, kindness, professionalism, quick response time, and knowing what was needed for a quick, above asking price sale. We are truly grateful for everything that they have done for us, and for knowing them as good human beings, and trusting them with our beloved house. You won't be sorry!
