BACKGROUND

Tanner Leighton grew up in the Treasure Valley and is no stranger to real estate as his parents were builders and owned rental properties and his uncle has been in the industry for over two decades. After graduating from Meridian High, Tanner lived in California while attending college and then traveled the US and internationally for 5 years playing professional baseball. He recently moved back to Idaho two years ago and says, “I love this valley and how it's growing, correlating directly with my career in real estate.”

Tanner says his number one goal in serving his clients is customer satisfaction. “For many people this is the largest investment in their lifetime and I would love to be the agent that finds my clients exactly what they are looking for. One of the most important parts of this business is relationships. Whether it’s with past, present, or future clients, building relationships that turn into friendships is my favorite part of this business.”

Graduating from Master’s University with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with a focus on business provides Tanner insight into the intricacies of the business side of a real estate transaction. While attending college, Tanner was also able to take different real estate courses as well as many different business classes that relate to real estate. He also took weekly sales training classes at Sandler (professional sales training) for one year. He says, “My past experience in life has greatly benefited my practice in real estate. I used to play professional baseball for five years and that game and occupation taught me a lot of life skills that I have utilized within my real estate business.”

Tanner says his favorite aspect about our community is that there is always something to do. “We are very fortunate to live in such a great place that for a majority of the days in a year we can take advantage of all that our community has to offer – both indoors and outdoors.” When Tanner’s not working his real estate business, he enjoys anything outdoors and being active. He says, “My number one hobby, which I love, has to be traveling. We are very fortunate to live in a day and age that travelling all over the world is much easier. There are quite a few places that I have been, but even more that I am looking forward to going and seeing.” Coaching children in baseball and softball is also a pastime for Tanner and he also enjoys going boating at the lake, watching a sporting event, bike riding, hiking, and walking his English Mastiff, Lulu.
