REALTOR® John Yochum has lived in the Treasure Valley for over 37 years and is a Boise State University graduate. Being in real estate affords him the flexibility to work and play on his own schedule. Client satisfaction is incredibly important to John, and he finds delight in working with clients to attain their real estate goals.
He prides himself on being direct, honest, and loyal to his clients and colleagues.
John enjoys living in Middleton as he likes the small-town vibe it exudes.
When he’s not working, he finds happiness simply sitting on his patio listening to music while watching the sunset over the trees and a nearby pond. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, snowboarding, and traveling. And on Sunday mornings, you can find him setting out decoys, snowboarding, golfing, fishing, or tending to his family’s 13 cats, five dogs, and two horses.
He also admits that he moonlights as a groom, stall cleaner, chauffeur, and coach for his wife’s Arabian horses. He confides that his wife has a “showing habit” that he happily indulges.
John hopes to develop a wildlife and hunting preserve someday and, in the near term, hopes to expand his real estate business.
Since he has an affinity for hunting and animals, it’s not surprising that he champions causes that support these passions. The Human Society and Ducks Unlimited are two organizations that he’s passionate about serving.
If he could be anywhere right now, John would be snowboarding. But for now, you’ll find him assisting his clients with buying and selling Idaho real estate.

Michelle Coe says:
John helped me close on my house and I really appreciate how helpful and supportive he was through the whole process. I felt he really advocated for me during the negotiation process and I appreciated how quickly he was willing to jump on the listing with me when it first appeared. As a realtor I felt he was very responsive to any questions I had and always felt he was on my side throughout the entire process. I found these to be crucial traits to have in a realtor in this extremely competitive housing market that we find ourselves in. I would definitely recommend John to anyone looking to buy or sell property.

John, I wanted to write to thank you so much for the support you gave us in finding the perfect house. We have moved and worked with several realtors over the years with myself doing most of the work. I can tell you this time was different in that you hit the ground running as soon as I made the call from Seattle to you to start the process. When I showed up in Boise a few weeks later you had already found over 30 houses for me to look at, and took me everywhere so I didn't have to drive. I am impressed by your knowledge of the area and vibe of the market which really helped me make the right decision. Again thank you so much we love our house and had a stress free experience.
